Hi Milana, more than happy to talk!

It’s an interesting topic which you bring up here. Although I didn’t say it explicitly, but I did touch on it at the end of my essay, resilience is, in many ways, about having access to resources which can be used in a time of need. The question is knowing what resources you need, where to get them and how to use them. It is impossible, however, to 100% answer those questions, as the world we live in is too complex and it is unlikely that an individual would have everything they need; no man is an island and all that. So, the best way to be resilient is to be a member of a resilient community - which is called community resilience (obviously…) and is a topic I will write about in the near future - where a diversity of people can assist one another when needed. In terms of building such a community, or joining one, it will vary from place to place, but the best way to do so is to build trust through a concept called generalised reciprocity - the idea of helping others without expecting anything in return. The more this happens amongst people, the more trust will be built and it is upon this trust that social networks, where resources can be accessed, are built.

I hope this helps in some way, if not let me know and I see what I can do :)
